Has Office 2007 landed on your computer?  The latest Office suite brings with it significant changes from the previous versions...this course offers invaluable insight and skills to save time and frustration while transitioning to the new version. This course will cover those features of Microsoft Office 2007 that are new to the Office system.  Students will learn about the Microsoft Office button, Ribbon tabs and Ribbon groups, galleries, contextual Ribbon tabs, Live Preview, the Dialog Box Launcher, the Document Information Panel, and the Mini toolbar.  Students will also work with the XML file format and the macro and non-macro file formats. In addition, dedicated units for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access introduce the new features of each application.

Prerequisites:  Students should have significant experience using previous versions of MS Office (preferably 2003).  This course is intended to offer an overview of the most (but not all) changes to the Office programs.

This course focuses on the enhanced features for improving the management, organization, presentation, and distribution of data. In this course, you will work with the new features in Office 2010, and resolve transition issues moving from 2003.  This course is a must for staying productive using these powerful new applications.  There are dedicated units on the use and customization of the new User Interface, using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, as well as the new Outlook features.
