Dreamweaver 8 Introduction

Course Length: 1 day

Prerequisites: Basic Windows, skills, some word processing and knowledge of the internet is helpful.

Course Objectives:

You will learn to use Dreamweaver 8 to create and modify web sites, and learn how to format text, apply styles, create tables, manage images and links, manage Web site files , and publish a site. Concepts will include:

• Explain basic concepts about the Internet and the World Wide Web, identify the basic issues concerning proper site design, and navigate in the Dreamweaver work environment.
• Define a site in Dreamweaver to organize and maintain the Web pages; and create a basic Web page by typing text and applying character and paragraph formatting. create CSS style sheets, and add style-sheet rules to control appearance of content.
• Insert images, set image properties, create and format tables.
• Use Map view and the Assets Panel to manage a site.
• Add links to other pages and resources; create named anchors, e-mail links, and image maps; and format links with CSS.
• Upload a site to a remote Web server; and check a site for broken links,
